We are from Massachusetts and were very hit by storm Sandy not to long
ago back in October of 2012. Some parts in Massachusetts had severe flooding and damage. There were thousands left without power due to falling trees and major winds, but in the end everyone was okay. Our neighbors at the Jersey Shore were far worse
off.
Luckily, K International employees and staff experienced only minor effects of storm Sandy. Our Marketing Director was left without power for 5 days.
Storm Nemo, however, left many business closed with a driving ban in effect from 4pm Friday February 8th till 4pm Saturday the 9th. The roads were horrible, there was still a lot of snow on the ground when the ban was lifted. Many business' remained closed until Monday due to power outages. Our shop in Norwood got 32” of snow but we were back an running on Sunday. Our Marketing Director was again
very unfortunate being left without power for 4 days saying that this time around it was worse without power, having no heat to keep warm. With no power and plenty of time on her hand Tina K., our Marketing Director and Photographer, recorded her experience with Storm Nemo.
Strong winds and snow precipitation. Some part of Massachusetts experienced up to 86mph winds. |
The blizzard like winds took down many trees. |
The road conditions were pretty bad.
They next day was truly a winter wonderland.
